There are plenty of good places to eat in Huaraz, many of which cater largely for travellers. However, there are also several cheaper restaurants that also serve tasty food. There are plenty of restaurants on Mariscal Luzuriaga, including several offering chicken and chips. Cuy (guinea pig) and conejo (rabbit) are typical of the region and are generally good.
