The Casa Blanca Video Pub, above the Hotel Casa Blanca, is a popular place for a beer, and there are good views of the Plaza de Armas. The Palladium Club Disco (Jr. Urrelo 1037) is reasonable and quite popular at weekends. El Rodeo on San Martín near the Plaza is a pleasant bar.

There is a basic cinema on Junín, 3 blocks from the Plaza.

Next to the cinema on Jr. Junín is an association of local artists.
