Cajamarca has some very pleasant hotels in converted colonial buildings. There are also plenty of cheap hostels, especially near the Mercado Central on Amazonas and Apurímac. If arriving in the city late, there are some hostels near the bus offices, although it is just as easy to catch a taxi into the centre. There are also a few places to stay in Baños del Inca, a quieter place than Cajamarca.
