There are plenty of places on Av. Balta close to the Plaza de Armas. Sol y Luna is a poppy disco and Premium has a nice bar and an upmarket disco. The Masaris Disco is at Balta 633.

The Cine Tropical is on the Plaza de Armas, and shows popular Hollywood films.
