The local newspaper La Industria has listings for events in the city.
Bars and clubs
Las Tinajas is a good bar on the corner of the Plaza de Armas, open Tuesday to Saturday nights. On Saturday?s at midnight there is live criolla music. There is a Las Tinajas disco next door, which opens at 10pm. Other good places are El Estribo on the 8th block of San Martín and La Luna Rota on América Sur. Neither bars nor discos get going until around 11pm-12am in Trujillo.
Cinemas
There are a couple of rather poor cinemas in Trujillo, showing standard Hollywood fare. The Cine Perú is on the 7th block of Pizarro and the Cine Primavera is on the 2nd block of Orbegoso.
Cultural centres
The Teatro Municipal, at Bolívar 753, has occasional theatre or music productions.
