Accommodation in Trujillo ranges from the very cheap and basic to the quite luxurious. A number of hotels in the centre have closed in recent years, generally due to competition from newer hotels. The tourist police have received complaints about things going missing from a few of the cheaper hotels, including the Hostal Lima, Hostal Central and the Hotel Internacional.
