Taxis
Mototaxis will take you around town for a set fee of $0.50. There are also motorbike taxis, which charge $0.30.

Banks
Banco de Crédito (Visa cash machine) is on the Plaza de Armas.
Moneychangers
There are moneychangers close to the Banco de Crédito.
Motorbike hire
El Gato (Jr. Puno, near Hotel Wilson), hires bikes by the hour or day. Motos Sonnco, opposite the Hotel Wilson, hires bikes for $1.50 per hour or $10 per day.

Tourist information
The tourist information office is at Fitzcarrald 252. The office has good information on registered guides and on lodges operating in the area. They will answer questions by email. Madrededios@mitinci.gob.pe.
Travel agencies
There are several travel agencies in town organising jungle tours. Andrea Tours (León Velarde 381, T 572664), for example, organises tours to nearby spots. A 2-day/1-night tour to Lago Sandoval costs $75 per person. A 3-day/2-night tour to the Macaw Lick costs $150 per person. A 6-day/5-night tour to Lago Soledad costs $300 per person.
