There are three lodges on the far shores of the lake that can only be reached by boat. Although they are hardly in virgin forest, they are very relaxing places to spend a few days, and there are trails through the jungle behind the lodges which can be explored. There are also a couple of basic places to stay in the town of Yarinacocha.
