There are several good restaurants on the lakeshore near Puerto Callao. The fish is obviously the best item on the menu. Restaurant La Maloka ($$), on stilts over the lake, has good fish dishes and excellent views of the lake. Anaconda Balsa Turística ($$) is a floating restaurant actually on the lake, just off Puerto Callao. The food is good and there is live music at weekends. It is also possible to eat in the jungle lodges La Cabaña and El Pandisho on the other side of the lake.
