Travel agencies

There are several travel agencies in the centre of Pucallpa offering jungle tours to nearby places. These tend to be more expensive than getting a private guide. Amazon World Travel Service (Jr. Tarapacá 980, T 579694) has a reasonable selection of jungle options for around $50 per person per day.

Private guides

The cheapest way of visiting the jungle is with a private guide. These charge about $30 per person per day, including transport and food. The boatmen on Yarinacocha will act as guides, or alternatively ask in the tourist information office.
