The best place to eat in town is the Hotel Madera Verde ($$-$$$), with decent food and good views on a pleasant, open terrace. El MangoAlameda Real ($$) (Alameda de Peru 678) serves good fish dishes and cebiches.
There are several good places out of town to eat fish Most of these are by the river near the Cueva de Las Pavas.
