Lima is full of hotels of all categories, from the most basic to high luxury. The cheapest hotels tend to be in the centre, which is also the most dangerous area. However, there are also several cheap hotels in Miraflores, which is where much of Lima?s social scene tends to happen. The best hotels in Lima are all outside of the centre, with San Isidro and Miraflores having most of the top class hotels. Many hotels have swimming pools, although most of these are open air, and so only useable from December to April. The top hotels in Lima are expensive, although as they are business hotels good discounts can normally be arranged for Fridays and Saturdays. Additionally, many hotels offer discounts in association with national airlines. If you are taking a national flight it is worth asking if the airline has an arrangement with a hotel.
